What the Residency Is
The MusicLandria Residency is a structured creative development program for musicians, sound artists, writers, and interdisciplinary creators to develop and complete focused work inside our space.
We support experimental music practices, hybrid percussion, and cross-disciplinary projects, with a strong emphasis on finished creative outcomes.
Core Focus Areas
While open to a range of artists, we are especially aligned with:

Experimental electronic and acoustic hybrid work

Sound art, spoken word, and narrative audio projects with an interest in musical collaboration

Cross-disciplinary collaborations (music, poetry, film, performance)
What Residents Receive

Scheduled access to MusicLandria creative space

Recording and production support (engineering assistance as available)

Access to instruments, gear, and studio infrastructure

Opportunity to collaborate with in-house artists and community members

Support developing a completed or near-completed body of work
Residency Structure & Timeframe
Residencies are time-bound and must include a clear start and end date.
Standard formats:

2-week residency (focused creative sprint, most common)

1-month residency (expanded development and collaboration cycle)
All applicants must propose a timeframe during application.
What We Expect From Residents
Residents are expected to:

Maintain a consistent working schedule during their residency

Arrive with a defined project or creative goal

Actively document and develop work during the residency period

Communicate clearly about needs, schedule, and deliverables
Residency Culmination Requirement
All residencies conclude with a MusicLandria fundraiser event.
This event:

Presents or showcases work developed during the residency

Supports the sustainability of future residencies and community access

May include performance, listening session, screening, or hybrid presentation

Is planned in collaboration with MusicLandria
Application Requirements
Applicants must provide:

Preferred residency length (2 weeks or 1 month)

Review Process
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
Response time is typically 7–14 days.
Residency slots are limited and scheduled based on availability and alignment.
Residency Philosophy
MusicLandria residencies are designed for focused output, experimentation, and completion.
We are especially interested in artists working at the intersection of rhythm, technology, and narrative form, including hybrid drummers and percussion-driven creators exploring new formats of performance and recording.
Repeat Residencies
Artists who complete a residency and successfully finish their proposed project are welcome to apply again for future residencies. Each new residency must have a distinct project goal and timeline.MusicLandria residency work sessions are available Tuesday through Saturday, 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
Access Hours
Scheduling within this window is coordinated in advance based on each resident’s agreed-upon plan and project needs.
